• Before embarking on our mystical journey from Ovacık to Kayaköy in the heart of nature, we recommend that you check out these small tips to ensure maximum comfort and safety.
• 👖 What to Wear? (Comfort is Our Priority)
• Pants or Leggings: You should wearlong and flexible pants or leggings to protect the areas where your legs will contact the saddle and to prevent friction. If you wear jeans, make sure they are stretchy. (Wearing shorts or skirts is not recommended.)
• Shoe Selection: You should wear shoes that fit snugly, with closed toes, preferablysports shoes or flat-soled boots that are not overly textured. (Flip-flops, sandals, or high heels are not suitable for safety reasons.)
• Upper Clothing: You can choose a comfortable t-shirt or a thin long-sleeve shirt depending on the season. Don’t forget that it may be cool in the forest!
• 🎒 What to Bring With You?
• A Small Backpack: Keeping your hands free is important for your safety. Carry your phone, water, and personal belongings in a small backpack.
• Sun Protection: Although the forest may be shaded, we will pass through open areas. Make sure to bring sunscreen and sunglasses (it’s recommended that they have a strap to prevent falling).
• Camera / Phone: You’ll want to immortalize these unique views! However, we kindly request that you only take photos at the stops deemed appropriate by our guide during the tour.
• 🛡️ Safety and Rules
• Helmet Use: Your safety is our utmost priority. Wearing the helmets provided by us is mandatory throughout the tour.
• Valuable Items: Large dangling earrings or long necklaces can get caught in saddle parts. We recommend removing these before the tour.
• Listen to Your Guide: Each of our horses is specially trained. Our guide will explain how to communicate with them at the beginning of the tour. Stay calm and enjoy this special bond!
• Golden Rule: Horses are emotional beings. The more love and calmness you show towards them, the more peaceful a journey they will provide you!
